Holiday break

It has been wonderful to be off from work with Tim. We had Christmas with his family Christmas Eve and enjoyed watching the boys open their gifts and get excited for their Nerf guns {and the big boys had fun with the Nerf guns too}. I think Kelley got a classy pic of her hubby, it may not make it into the social media world.

We had a late night and an even earlier morning. We had to get ready for my family to come over and open presents. We had tamales and muffins for breakfast, don't ask about the combination. With my family we draw names and only buy for that person, and I would like to say that Tim and I enjoy gifting others. We had a yummy lunch and a surprise visit from my brother. Stinker said he wouldn't be home until mid-January. Then for the evening we went to Kelley's parents house for game night and dinner. It's always a great time with everyone.
Tim wanted to go spend some time with Tyler in Kansas so I stayed here and held down the fort. And man was it a challenge. Sprinkles is extra crazy with just one parent on watch. She has lot of built up fetch energy ready for daddy.
This is her waking up and she wanted to send this pic to her dad, it's cute but not cute enough to make him rush home.
I got some lovely visitors, Ashely and Megan, it was nice to see people that respond besides just Sprinkles who stares at me. We also had my littles stay the night, they have been asking since we bought the house.
Everyone doing something and me tending to the house. Gracious me I guess this is what it feels like to have a family. But me and the girls did watch  High School Musical 2 & 3, I told them it keeps me young.
To ring in the new year our friends Ashley and Chad invited us over for a fun adult evening with games and snacks. It's so nice to have couple friends that we both enjoy spending time with.
And as Ashley said it's the year if the Baker wedding, it's getting closer!!! 5 months away!
Speaking of wedding I have found a lot of goodies on Etsy. I've got to get some things knocked off that to-do list.

Happy New Year, here's to 2014 and all the exciting things to come!
