Tis the season

Tim and I are in full swing for the holidays. We have our tree up and its ready for some presents ~ the hold up, I ordered a tree skirt form Very Jane and it's not here yet. But our presents will be ready when it gets here.
A quick recap on our thanksgiving (and the break I was longing for) it was great. We had a fabulous meal with family and the girls went shopping all night long. I got lots of good "deals" and am 90% done with Christmas shopping. Tim got a TV and I got a washer and dryer as early Christmas gifts.
We got our washer and dryer in separate deliveries of course. But the washer is fab and the dryer has yet to be tested by me.
When we moved in I wanted to paint one wall as an accent. Well we decided to wait until last Friday night and here's how it turned out.

We thought it wasn't too busy with just one band of it.
Little miss went to the vet Tuesday and she weighes a whopping 5.5lbs. The girls at the vet just love her, they all went with her to get her shots. So we got her a special treat for having to get shots, no fun.
If you can tell she's too busy to smile.
Here she is finished, looks like a milk mustache

Good ol' Kelley gave me the sacred recipe to the egg nogg I think I need. Tim and I got all the ingredients to enjoy tomorrow. I figure what a better way to spend a Wednesday that I get to leave early than to wrap some presents and drink some 'Nogg. My school gave us all the gift of time, so I get to leave at 1:30 and do what I need.
7 more school days until Christmas break😊

Thanksgiving break anyone?

I am gearing up for some time off from work, I think it's needed for many of us hard working teachers. Having 5 days off in a row will be such a blessing!!

Tim and I have gotten all the Christmas lists on my side of the family (which is a lot), now to prepare to buy all the goodies. We are planning on doing some Black Friday shopping, I think he has been making a plan of attack.

For Thanksgiving we are having it with my soon to be S-I-L Kelley's family and all of Tim's family mixed. So that means a lot of yummy food and chatting. With my mom just having treatment this past Thursday her and my dad might be joining us if she is feeling up to it and everyone is healthy (can't be around ill people).

Sprinkles is C-R-A-Z-Y!!! She loves to chew hair (mine or Tim's), chew your soft delicate hands, and eat:) Tim thinks she is huge, he describes her as Hercules off of Sandlot, (exaggeration much?)

We bought her a cute Christmas tree outfit and when we got home we realized that she may not be able to wear it for Christmas so here is her debut, isn't she precious?! She hates it and walks funny so this didn't last long.

We had our first snow of the season so we stayed home all day today and enjoyed some Christmas movies and resting. It is nice to catch up on laundry and cleaning the house leisurely. Sprinkles loves the snow, she eats it and then she gets it on her face so she ends up looking like Santa, too cute!

Busy puppy mommy

I had every intention of doing a post last week to tell everyone about our new adventure but it has been a little crazy at the Baker household. Learning to be puppy parents is hard work! We have been training her to go outside to potty and she does super fabulous with it until you turn the corner and find a mess on the carpet. Needless to say I have done countless loads of laundry for little Sprinkles. She loves to play like a maniac and then take a rest by laying on you so sweetly. Little Miss has such personality!
We went and visited our close friends Ashely and Chad, they have Hurley the Great Dane and we thought our 2 pups should meet. Hurley was little unsure of Sprinkles:)
Last time I had commented on how excited I was to get the shoes I had ordered (from justfab), well they came in and it was a no go. I really wouldn't bother ordering from that website. Since receiving them I have shipped them back and have possibly found a new pair of shoes for the BIG day which is only 6 months away!!

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching and that means pumpkin pie, it is my most favorite thing to bake. I think Tim is just as excited to eat it as I am to bake it! Maybe I should make one to practice? And I will say I am hoping Kelley will come prepared to make some eggnog, so yummy!!

Goodness Gracious

Again this week Tim had a out of town thing but only for one night, so I wasn't lonely all week. Last week I was trying to conquer wedding shoes and look at invitations, and yes! both got accomplished. Excited for the lovely shoes I chose to arrive, and boots that I might have added to the cart before I paid ;)
This week I have found some fun things that I want to share; partly because you might enjoy them as well and because I like to share goodies I find.
I signed up for the Birchbox and for my first box it has some goodies that I am excited to use. I found these mini Barefoot Moscato's, why would that not  be fabulous! And last but not least the Jungle Animal frosted cookies, just like animal cookies but better because they are jungle animals.

And the news that is most important.....our family is growing.... by 4 feet  paws:) Her name is SPRINKLES, yes folks you read correctly, the little yummies you would add to your holiday cookies or birthday cupcakes. She is fabulous and we love her!

New News

Hello Hello!!!
I have been home all week by myself, my fiancé has been out of town for work - boo. Well during my time alone I have been working on wedding goodies~ shoes and invitations are my new ventures:) oh and we might like someone to actually do the ceremony.

Other than wedding planning I have been praying without ceasing for my mom, she has breast cancer and is in treatment as we speak. You don't realize all that comes with a few words from a doctor that you don't actually know. My mom has shown great strength and perseverance through all of this. My mom will be a survivor at my wedding.

At school we went to the pumpkin patch, of course with planning ahead we can't plan the weather so..... we froze our little tootsies off. The kids had a great time nonetheless.

Tim's birthday was this past weekend, the big 3-0, yikes! We invited family over to celebrate with, we had already did a trip to Dallas for a Rangers game with Tiffany and Russell which was fabulous!

Tim and I have some exciting news to share soon so stay tuned for that:)
