Honeymoon in San Juan

We have just gotten back from our honeymoon and I already miss being pool side. We had an event-free travel down there, as in no lost luggage, and enjoyed a week relaxing. On the plane a man said we HAD to visit the rainforest, I was not feeling it, on vacation I am all about doing nothing or a minimal amount. I like sleeping in, going to the pool, reading and watching movies, eating lunch and taking a nap, going to dinner. Basically: not much. We did visit old San Juan, it was amazing to see the fort and the tiny streets and architecture. We had stopped for lunch and had a piña colada from the birth place of piña coladas, it was amazing.

We didn't stay long in old San Juan because it was deathly hot and I wanted to be by the pool.

We did go to the beach one day, it was super windy and the umbrella ended up falling and hitting me, that's when I called it and went to the pool.

We walked down to the other hotels and checked them out, still very nice, but OK, we liked ours the best. On the way we got some gelato and watched some futbol at another hotel

It was fun watching everyone stop to watch and cheer. I know the saying "smiling is a universal language" but so is watching sports.

While Tim would gamble I would do a slot machine ( I do penny slots, I hate the idea of losing), and wouldn't you know I found one that connected me to my English roots, I wish.

I did win $50, and I found these lovlies at Walgreens I felt like all the stars aligned for this to happen.

The only local food we had was a fried plantain, I wasn't a fan. We ate at Chilis, Cheese Cake Factory and Denny's that charges .49 for lemon, and non of which was any good. Well just the cheese cake factory it was delicious as usual.

My parents watched little miss for us and I caught myself saying that I missed her a lot. They sent us pics periodically with little captions.

I think they enjoyed having her, but pictures can be misleading.

As soon as we got home we got up the next morning to head to Keeler's 6th birthday party in Kansas. He, in passing, told his momma he wanted a shiney belt buckle, so Tim searched it out and got him a very nice one. Crazy to think all the little ones are not so little any more, I remember when Keeler was born.
