Countdown in days

Wow oh wow!! It feels so crazy to me that what I have waited for, for what seems like forever, is now just days away. It's a surreal feeling, I hope other brides can understand what I am feeling. I have a few small things that need to be wrapped  up and completed like shoes for Bella, painting the birdcage and printing the programs. Small but necessary things.

I just love when I come across a blog and just love everything about it. Well I have stumbled across The Sweetest Thing, her name is Emily and she seems very sweet and has great fashion posts. I will say I have bought a pair of jeans that she's photographed in and I was super excited to find them on sale with no shipping charge. I have also "asked" Tim about some wedges that she's worn, I feel like maybe I should consult, yes I have a lot of shoes but a girl needs them. Ok I feel like I am stalking her a little but looking at her posts she has gorgeous hair, she wears extensions, I don't think I'll be buying any any time soon but she talked about a product by Loreal volume filler, and I think it did the trick to make a little more volume in my hair.

I am a guru at trying new hair products, I will try anything {my bathroom cabinets can testify to that}

Last weekend was Easter and Tim and I were loners, all his family was in Kansas, my siblings were in OKC, so we had a nice lunch with my parents. It was quiet but it was nice. Here is Tim's nephews, so cute.
On Saturday we went to Lubbock for my friend Audra's gender reveal for their 2nd bug (their nick name) and it's a BOY!!

I have been feeling some tooth pain, I went to the dentist this week and he just said maybe it was stress from wedding stuff and I'm a clincher. Oh I hope so. He said if it continues after the wedding we'll look more into it. I just don't want a puffy cheek for my wedding. I've seen some thing's about oil pulling to help with dental issues, well I have been doing oil pulling for about a month. I hope it will fix the issue. If you don't know about oil pulling here is a link for some info.

Another great find lately is Mindy Maes Market, she has great jewelry and clothing pieces. Be sure to check it out. This is the Rachel necklace, its glitzy but fun.

Everyone have a fabulous weekend, mine is a 3 day (I took Monday off). So let the wedding prep be concluded this weekend!!! I can be hopeful!!

Showers Showers Showers

What an amazing time!! It was my bridal shower which was fabulous (hope to get pics soon) such sweet decorations, gifts, yummy food and amazing friends to celebrate with. That evening was my bachelorette party, and all I can say is what a wonderful time we all had. I knew going into that territory I didn't want anything too "sassy" just fun and "appropriate".  Well my soon to be sis-in-law Tiffany, loves to be sassy and boy was she. But it was great laughs, food, and goodies for Tim? They are for him right?
Sunday I got to make sure Tim saw all the gifts from the bridal shower and I started putting it all away to clear counters, I am beyond excited for all the great things we got. When we originally registered our "helper" said to think of this time to upgrade your stuff. Tim and I both have some hand be down kitchen stuff and stuff we bought as singles. So I am very excited to have a nicer version of some existing items.
On Wednesday I had a shower at school, I did get to get a pic of the cake, so delish.
Again we got some great gifts for our home and gift cards. I am taking tomorrow off (Friday) to get some wedding stuff knocked out, marriage license, vase for unity and just random errands and prepare for some bridal pics this weekend. Glad I am able to take the time to handle it all.
We are exactly 30 days away from the wedding, crunch time!!

Spring Break 2014!!!

Well I have been on spring break and enjoying every minute of it. Tim had taken some time off too so we had some quality time together. We got some wedding stuff accomplished and the biggest: we sent out our invitations!! I feel very accomplished by that.

I had a yucky dentist appointment and after that it was smooth sailing. This week has been great: lunch out, seeing friends, seeing both our families, we did some house stuff (ordered a desk)
(It's not all fabulously decorated yet but it will be soon), worked out, shopped wedding stuff and spent lots of time with little Sprinkles. She just loves us being home with her, but she will also probably act out when we go back to work, yikes.

My mom and I helped my sister say yes the dress this week, she was a little unsure of what she wanted but was surprised at what she did like. Wedding season is a little crazy for the Morris family.

We have gotten an few response cards back in the mail and someone did a fail -no name.
I had read on some wedding sites of tips for this very specific thing, number each card and have a list of corresponding names and numbers so you know who is who if they don't put their name on it. I thought to my self no no, these are people who would at least put their name on it. Ha ha the joke is on me. So now we have a mystery person who declined. You live and you learn I guess. Helpful hint to tell a future bride.

A couple of days Tim had set an alarm and he sure does love his snooze button. BUT ON SPRING BREAK?! For all you snoozers out there,  STOP!! I ended being up with the dog and he was still sleeping. Not cool. But at the same time I had a very hard time waking up and being productive early. It's a lose lose situation at the Baker house.

We got to take a quick day trip to Lubbock to visit The Boedeker family and do a little wedding accessory shopping.
It was a success!!

As it is Sunday I have been relaxing and watching movies. Just soaking up all my last few moments of my break.
55 days till the big day!!

February~ good bye

Wow it's already the end if February, where has time gone? But with all this time flying by a lot has been accomplished and happened: ordered flower girl dresses (hope they work), ordered invitations, wrecked my car, mom had her surgery, found out a sweet friend / bridesmaid is pregnant, my sisters wedding date is May 16th, helped my sister do a invitation for the wedding, talked to the florist, did the cake tasting and made a decision on that.

See, a lot!!
I would much rather do all wedding stuff instead of the others in that list.

I get to celebrate the marriage of my sweet friend this weekend along with our nephew - Bryon's 5th birthday. So we have family coming in and get to enjoy Bryon's camping party (cute idea).

Work has been insane, kids, parents and all involved I feel. Just a heads up to parents: ask the teacher before you become upset about something, it is usually a misunderstanding and can easily be cleared up. To feel better a special secret person gave us a little treat to make Friday better.

The only request I had for today was to go out to dinner, so Happy Friday and yeah to no cooking!!

Busy January

It has been quite a week. Mondays was MLK day so as teachers we had off. I got to sleep in and meet my soon to be MIL and SIL for lunch. Afterwards I went to the fab place of Hobby Lobby and found a lot of good things for a craft day. Here is a little treasure I needed😊
We have finished registering and Granny was here this past weekend and worked on my dress to make it wedding day gorgeous. So, 2 huge things off the wedding to-do list.

On Tuesday Ashley had asked me to pick up her little man from the baby sitter. He was happy to come with me until he realized mom wasn't around. But we had a snack and feed Sprinkles our snack and were
happy enough till mom showed up.

With a short week for school it makes it feel so much longer. So I felt I needed this little pick me up for a Thursday.
With lots of meetings  and conferences to handle I am super glad it's the weekend.

We had Sprinkles fixed and I was a nervous wreck for her. So we get her Friday evening and she is sleepy and snuggly (Just the way we like her).
She ate dinner and was resting. She didn't want to sleep alone so I slept with her on the couch. Saturday morning she was back to her old self, ready to run and jump. The vet said no running and jumping  for 2 weeks - they didn't tell me how to keep her from doing those things though. She acts like nothing happened. Tim and I said we would like drs like hers who do quick small procedures with an immediate recovery.

Ashley and I did crafts but we I had a few Pinterest fails.
We had invited my parents to lunch after church so my mom and I could go dress shopping for her. Our lunch turned into a family affair, Jordan and Josh came with. We all parted ways my mom and I went to the mall, Tim and Josh went to get a refrigerator for our garage and my dad and Jordan went home. Busy Sunday, just the way I like them - getting stuff done!!

Our new year

We are in full swing of the new year, so far so great! Tim has accepted a new position at work, Account Manager. He is excited and so am I for what is ahead for him and our family. With this new job he may not be gone too often.

We took sprinkles to the vet this past Monday, she weighs 8 lbs, if you've been reading the other blogs she had been staying pretty consistent with about a pound every 3 weeks. Guess she hit a growth spurt.

Saw this at target, cute!! It's amazing how much pug paraphernalia I see out.

Sleepy pup

Today I was really wanting something sweet, so why would brownie cupcakes not be just what we need?  Made the house smell fabulous.

I have gotten most of my orders from Etsy, and so far so good. My sweet girls have started planning my shower, that just delights my heart to know I have friends who want to be a part of this special time. We are 117 days out from the big day. It's coming so fast. Tim tried to say we needed to practice our wedding day kiss.  Silly boy will find any reason to sneak a kiss. But I do love him so. And we also plan on registering this week, apparently we are late to the game on that one.

Have a great week!! Hoping to get more items off my wedding to-do list.

Holiday break

It has been wonderful to be off from work with Tim. We had Christmas with his family Christmas Eve and enjoyed watching the boys open their gifts and get excited for their Nerf guns {and the big boys had fun with the Nerf guns too}. I think Kelley got a classy pic of her hubby, it may not make it into the social media world.

We had a late night and an even earlier morning. We had to get ready for my family to come over and open presents. We had tamales and muffins for breakfast, don't ask about the combination. With my family we draw names and only buy for that person, and I would like to say that Tim and I enjoy gifting others. We had a yummy lunch and a surprise visit from my brother. Stinker said he wouldn't be home until mid-January. Then for the evening we went to Kelley's parents house for game night and dinner. It's always a great time with everyone.
Tim wanted to go spend some time with Tyler in Kansas so I stayed here and held down the fort. And man was it a challenge. Sprinkles is extra crazy with just one parent on watch. She has lot of built up fetch energy ready for daddy.
This is her waking up and she wanted to send this pic to her dad, it's cute but not cute enough to make him rush home.
I got some lovely visitors, Ashely and Megan, it was nice to see people that respond besides just Sprinkles who stares at me. We also had my littles stay the night, they have been asking since we bought the house.
Everyone doing something and me tending to the house. Gracious me I guess this is what it feels like to have a family. But me and the girls did watch  High School Musical 2 & 3, I told them it keeps me young.
To ring in the new year our friends Ashley and Chad invited us over for a fun adult evening with games and snacks. It's so nice to have couple friends that we both enjoy spending time with.
And as Ashley said it's the year if the Baker wedding, it's getting closer!!! 5 months away!
Speaking of wedding I have found a lot of goodies on Etsy. I've got to get some things knocked off that to-do list.

Happy New Year, here's to 2014 and all the exciting things to come!
