Spencer, Christmas, and New Year's Eve 2015

It's a New Year and we are excited!!

In December we celebrated our youngest nephews 1st Birthday. Spencer loved all the attention and getting new toys. He wasn't quit sure about the whole cake process, but we are sure he likes the icing.

Ashley and I always do a gift swap and we did ours over the  break while I held her sweet little boy (what would make it better?). Tell me this face isn't perfection, I don't have a picture with this guy yet, but we need one.

Back to the gift swap, she gave me this super cute cup wrap- I guess that is what it is called. She knows me well, along with a wooden monogram to decorate with. Again, she knows me well!

We always do Christmas Eve with Tim's family and we always enjoy the time with everyone.

Here are all of our nephews in their matching PJ's, it was hard getting all of them to smile the same direction, but they are a fun group of boys.

Sprinkles got a couple of gifts from family this year, one was this vest. She is not a total fan of clothing but she looks super cute!!

Tim's brother and sister-in-law went back to Kansas but their 2 littles wanted to stay and play with their cousins. On Wednesday Tim and I took them back to Kansas for New Year's to celebrate at one  Baker clan. On the way up there the boys loved having Sprinkles in the back seat with them, and she loved it just as much!

Kelley and I enjoyed our girl time with shopping, cooking for our men and getting ready for our New Year's Eve party!!

Kelley had games and ideas planned out so I just help her set up. Granny came for a bit and partied hard ate dinner and played a few games with with us.

We played Pie Face, Tim and I had never played it before. It would be a fair statement that we enjoyed it.

Happy New Year!!!
This little Miss is excited for the New Year and that we all stayed up late with her.

Kelley and I decided to enjoy the selfie stick and take a Baker girl pic, even with Sprinkles giving a little crazy pug eye, she does really like Kelley.

The little boys really enjoyed Sprinkles visiting. This is when they were comforting her after a balloon popped, she is a scardy cat!

We loved our time in Kansas with family and we really enjoyed our time off of work. We are ready for a new year with new adventures and accomplishments!

Fall 2015

I am back!!!

Here at the Baker house it has been fast and furious with life. I started my masters this semester and that put a whole other meaning to busy for me. But I did wrap up all my classes with A's and B's #winning #busywifebusylife

In the past 4 months we have:

celebrated Sprinkles birthday  September 16th, she is 2 now and we love our little hairy bodied girl!!

Celebrated our nephew Kallahan's birthday in September  This boy love his British Peppa Pig family!

We celebrated Tim's birthday with his family, I feel as we are getting older we appreciate the opportunity to spend our special days with the ones we love most. 32 will be an amazing year for him, I love this man!!

We had some losses in my family, which is always the hardest. I lost my cousin and my uncle, both very close together in time. With loss there is so much pain, but also you get to come in close to your family and feel their love and support for one another. I am so thankful that I got to be there for both sides of my family.
#forevercousins

Sprinkles helped do laundry the only way she knows how, sit on all it! This is what she does when we get back in town - helps!

Sprinkles got some new jammys- why is she not the cutest!!!

My niece Kenzie and I made pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving- 1) she is a great help in the kitchen
 2) our dough was from scratch 3) our pie was the BEST!!!!
#homemadeforthewin

This pug bug didn't like me doing school work so she would grab items from around the house and taunt me with it until I got up to chase her down. Side note- she hadn't gotten my slipper in a long while- she was grasping at straws to get my attention.
#slipperchase

A sweet family at school gave me this adorable mug- its a Pug mug with a tail on the back- WHAT? It is the best to drink out of!!

Tim had his Christmas party for work and of course I went to help out eat. It was a fun night with his work team. Also, I love when I get inspiration from friends on clothing- thanks Kadee)

This past Sunday we had some snow fall so Tim and I took advantage of snuggling in bed with our fur baby. She likes to lay sweetly (sometimes), but when she does she is the best!!!!

My niece Kenzie had a basketball game, we really like going to the kids' games so we loaded up and headed out. Her team did so good!! Kenzie even took over and made a shot! It was a good moment for her Blackhawks basketball team!!!

I am enjoying my last school day of 2015 with a party and sweet parents!

Life Lately

This summer has flown by and I am heading back to work, another school year awaits. I don't feel like I did a whole lot this summer but here are a few things that happened.
1) We ordered furniture back in May and it arrived end of July. I made our pillow covers since finding a good looking throw pillow is sometimes hard. (that second pic makes our couch and table look baby size)

2) We went to Albuquerque for a few days, it was OK. I have realized NM is good for food, and that's about it. There isn't a whole lot to do there but we enjoyed some spouse time with out Sprinkles. Although probably after 12 hours I was ready to come home because I missed that furry baby. I find some sunglasses and we enjoyed some amazing Mexican food at El Pinto. This restaurant is more like a compound, it was huge and has seen many political and famous people.  It was a great restaurant.

 1) El Pinto    2) Hatch Green Chili strips (amazing)   3) the patio, I mean seriously

Here is a parking meter that I really didn't have to put money into, but I am glad I did. Living in TX, we do not have any where I am from so to get to use one like in the movies, yes please!!

I found some super cute Kate Spade sunglasses found here at Dillard's, I am sure they are else where but didn't see them.

3) I recently signed up for Ebates, its a cash back rewards program for online shopping. If you know your going to order something online why not get 2-6% cash back. They pay you every quarter, so with back to school shopping and Christmas coming up it could help you out. Just check it out, you wont be disappointed, I promise.

4)We threw my dad a surprise 60th birthday party. His brother came into town for the occasion and his friends all showed up. I snapped these pics of my nephew and nieces and cousins being silly with props.

5) I have seen some blog gals do an empties post, basically it is beauty things that you have used and are empty and weather they were a good item for you or if it wasn't worth the hype. I have been collecting my items this summer and will have an empties post in September, fingers crossed on the timing.

June = Summer

Summer has started and it has been a rough start. Ashley and I have shared a couple mornings in a row of craziness i.e. Sprinkles got sick on the floor at 5:30 one morning. Not typically how I want to start my day. Tim has been a busy bee at work while I am trying to get our house back in order from the school year neglect. Tim and I went on weekend getaway with my parents to Dallas. My dads brother lives there with some of my cousins. Last time we saw them was at our wedding.

We enjoyed some Topgolf with everyone and maybe a Bloody Mary, because why not it's summer.

There were games of tetherball and other doors fun. (I may have told Tim that I want a tetherball in our yard, it's a fun game).

We found out that Sprinkles if ok to sit on the floor while riding around town, so nice to not hear her crying in her crate.

We took a little drive to see the Dam in Denison, it was crazy from all the rain. It had a lot of people coming to see it.

I am gearing up for a garage sale, I am not a fan at all. But it is not really logical to throw away a couch (although someone in our neighborhood did), if we can let someone else get use out of it or any of our stuff I know that is better. Out with the old and in with the new, yeah for me!! I will be sure to share pics when out new items come in.

I have decorated for the summer, I decided patriotic is a good thing for the summer. I like to decorate for things that will cover for a while like 2 months at the minimum. It keeps our house festive without me having to worry about it.

(I made the bunting from scrapbook paper, Pom Poms from Hobby Lobby, the pillow from Kohls, the patriotic star from Shopko)

Tim and I went to Kansas this past weekend, he was part of a golf tournament and I hung out with Kelley and the boys. We took Sprinkles with us and the boys are big fans of hers. They enjoy chasing her and she enjoys hiding in the bathroom. Kelley and I took the boys to a water park to beat the heat. We ended our day with a family and friends cookout.

These boys love Speinkles

Kelley had ordered the boys a pug shirt and they wore them with Sprinkles, we tried real hard to get a pic of them with her = impossible.

Sunday morning Keeler woke up to read the paper,of course. He was so funny,  he sat there enjoying a read and I don't think he even noticed I was there.

I have a couple of weeks with Tim with no interruptions of him traveling for work. I am excited!! We have been enjoying our evenings cooking dinner together and playing with our fur-baby. And I did not forget to tell Tim happy Sprinkles dad day, he sure does love her.

I am enjoying my summer so far and hoping for more fun to come!
