Random January

Wow, what a year it has been and it is only January, yikes! I hope its getting me ready for amazing things to come. I have been trying to be a better me and with that comes tackling Miss Sprinkles, as soon as I start something this is what she does, plops right into my lap or does circles underneath me. Very entertaining!

I found this quote that I think is very fitting, now if Tim only agreed to this. (I know my sis-in-law Kelley would totally agree)

Yes, Carrie Bradshaw, that is where I like to see my money too!

A few weeks ago I had an eye appt. and realized that we have issues, not horrible issues  but big enough to need some help reading on computers. Here is what we came up with.

So far they are working nicely, I wear them mostly at school but sometimes its nice to see at home too:)

I have had a wild hair of cooking lately, this is what I started Thursday since we had a snow day
I thought of making dough to have pizza night with the Webbs' (my brother and sister in-law) and then this happened Friday morning

with a lovely water leak  we cancelled pizza night. (Tim and I did pizza for dinner on Sunday, super yummy!!)

Little Miss was being a ghost pug, silly girl

since we woke up to a water leak we both were a little frazzled so naturally  I didn't get my usual Starbucks Friday. All day I was wanting caffeine, remember go back to the part I am working on a better me (I only drink water throughout the day) so as a reward of making it through an awkward week and finishing my day with all my students I got a coke, big moments!

At our local grocery store you can earn points for shopping with them and at the end of the point collecting you can receive a piece of cookware.

Well I finally got mine along with paying the remaining $37 to get it, oh and a nice drink for my efforts, Starbucks Sunday!!

Oh along with getting glasses I also got a new do, for right now I am loving it, I get tired of things like my hair very quickly. Not the best picture but you can kind of tell.

That was a lot of randomness but it got it all out there, have a fabulous Wednesday!!

Delayed Christmas Break recap

Well I have loved my 2 week break and wasn't quite ready to come back. But as I am remembering in the summer it's such a long break that i usually am ready to go back to work, this was not the case.
OK, our Christmas was wonderfully  filled with family, food, conversation, and shopping. The break started with me being diligent with going to the gym in the morning and running errands (finishing up Christmas shopping), this is not how it ended, due to weather. I got this cute monogram half zip sweater from Prep Obsessed, such a cute store so I have maybe worn it out this break. But it was great for running errands and hanging around the house.
You know me, I love anything with a monogram.

Tim worked the first week of my break and was off the second, we made some pretty big plans for that second week. Tim received some upsetting news that his grandfather had passed away. This is always such a hard thing to handle individually and then to try and support your spouse in it is also hard. After he heard the news it was a mad dash to look for ways to be with family, since we live where we do and the service was where it was, he would need to be gone for a week. I am so grateful he had the time to be there with everyone and have family time with relatives he doesn't get to see much. With him going for that long  I didn't feel comfortable leaving for that long, needing arrangements for the pup and missing the first day back seemed overwhelming at the time. So I stayed and held down the fort, had lunch with the BEST mother-in-law a couple of times, had some friend time, rested and I got completely caught up with Parenthood so I am ready for the last few episodes. I finally got a new phone (I love anything new), did a little online shopping, watched church online since it snowed and I wasn't brave enough to venture out alone.

Phewww! I feel like a lot went on overall. Needless to say I am glad to have the hubby back home for more reasons than I can count. This is what our evening looked like when he made it home.

I guess I had a tired little family needing to sleep on me. :)

Tis the season!

This December has been full full full! Tim and I went to Kansas for his cousins wedding and some family time. We always have a great time staying with his brother, Tyler and his wife. We get some alone nephew time and Kelley and I get to catch up on all things girlie. Tyler prepared this fab breakfast (Tim should take notes).

She snapped this pic of Tim and I before the wedding.
Again I love it!!  Much more than my "professional" wedding pics. Wish we had done this sooner (like a month ago), would've been a great Christmas card.  My handsome hubby!!

One sweet girl from school has pugs as well and we naturally have a shared love for them and she thought I needed this. I totally agree!! I was really spoiled with cutesy Christmas gifts this year.

We did Tim's Christmas party, it was fun and I met a few sweet wives. It's always nice to meet people you can conversate with normally. Now that I am enjoying all my time off with sleeping in and hitting the gym.

We were all excited about the birth of our new nephew Spencer Daniel!!

He is just perfect! Who is this happy? A newborn baby boy who is ready to go home that's who.

Tim and I are hosting Christmas again this year and we are excited to have our house filled with family (until we all get crazy), but it will be fun to see the kids open gifts and enjoy a yummy meal.

Holiday Happenings

Not a lot has happened since my last post, well i will rephrase: some has happened but nothing huge.
My sisters baby shower went off without a hitch. She received lots of goodies for baby Buckles (there is a name now but they're not telling).

I got this cute gift basket from the my kiddos and parents. How thoughtful is this!

We had a nice Thanksgiving holiday break, having 5 days off in a row is a tease. We had lunch with both families (yes I said lunch), and then it was off to shopping with the girls. Tiffany and I ventured off on our own at first and spent FOREVER in Kohl's, great store but horrible organization for checking out customers. When we met up with our other ladies we were on a mission to find any good deal :) and Starbucks.

Santa granted Christmas wishes early, I got the  Kitchen Aid Mixer that I wanted, I am excited to bake something yummy. I do have my bible study's scarf exchange that I need to bring a snack to, perfect timing to try this out. Since Santa brought my mixer he brought Tim a TV, yes we got one last Black Friday, its a new tradition. I got all the little kids finished so that is always a great feeling.

Sunday we spent the day cleaning and organizing all our new goodies. I started wrapping gifts, I got quit a few done but now I am waiting on my tree skirt to arrive. I ordered one from Moon Pie Design on Facebook, super cute. This was my set up while Tim and my father-in-law worked on getting things ready for our new TV. Sprinkles and I were confined to the guest bedroom on the floor, it will be my wrapping home till it's all done.

(look at that cute pug who was sneaking around the presents)

Tim was out of town and the Leonard's invited me over for dinner (thoughtful), and Ashley loves to give gifts so I got my Christmas gift a little early and I love it!

What's on my: Bucket List

Today  I am linking up with Momfessinals  for "What's on... Your Bucket List".
All of mine are random but I get excited for them.

1. Visit London, England
I am borderline obsessed with Prince William and Princess Catherine and little Prince George. I mean, gorgeous family! I would also love love love to move there and have my kids have a British accent (no lie), maybe Tim will want to venture out of the U.S. soon.

2. Prioritize myself more, like working out.
I do enjoy working out, but will find any excuse to not go. I need someone to hold me accountable, for real. I may or may not have tried to get ownership of my moms treadmill, my dad said no. I always want to be the healthiest version of me and I need a little nudge. (and I just love these pants from albion fit, I love all the cute clothes)

3. Have Beautiful Babies
We just got married, yes, we have a house, yes, we both want some little cuties soon, yes!!  Tim and I are ready for our family to grow, we know our time will come and as we all know God's time is perfect!
(baby photo cred to my SIL Tiffany, but doesn't a baby look good on me? and baby Brody is precious!)

4. Go back to school
Ok, I made that public, but I really want to get my Masters in Psychology. Dream goal would to be a counselor (not in a school). I know this goal can totally happen when the time is right.

(not the best pic but I'm with a childhood friend, I graduated once, I can do it again)

5. Decorate my house
I want to decorate to my little hearts content, wait I want someone else to decorate with no limits. I  always see magazines for even friends houses and always think "geeze, I love that" and I never recreate it or get it accomplished. While Tim lived in Houston we would walk around to some of the shops and a new found favorite is Restoration Hardware, love what they have.

Excited to get to work on this Bucket List situation, I can definitely get started on some soon:)

October- flyin by

This school year is surely flying by, which is great, kind of. I love the all the holidays coming up and decorating. I am slowly getting to decorate the house, last year we were putting money towards the wedding and I didn't feel like I could get all the stuff I wanted. This year I feel bad indulging on decorations we use once a year but it makes our house a home. But here are a few of the things I have brought together to help our home be festive (and it adds some spunk for the baby shower this weekend).

I got this cute bunting at Hobby Lobby for 40%off,  always great deals.

Family name;)

And a wedding pic snuck in there with a Leaves candle from Bath and Body Works is a must.

I'm sad with all the focus the home has gotten that I did not order Sprinkles costume. She's between sizes, anyone know what I'm talking about, but I did find this one at Michael's on clearance for  $6, steal!

Oh I love it with a big puffy heart!!

I am loving being married and finding our way in our relationship. it's not right or wrong     it's just us. This weekend doing some married fun- we went to the pumpkin patch with his work as a family day. It was hottest day ever!!! Well I may be a little dramatic but it was very hot.

It was fun though, and Tim tried his hand at roping a steer (did I say  that right?),

While he was doing that I was taking a selfie, what else was I supposed to do.

I am excited and looking forward to what the holidays will bring this season: crazy family   drama, excited times, shopping the sales with the girls. So much to come and definitely be     thankful for.

Baby shower for baby ....... Wait still no name, name or no name he will be here soon. Baby sounds good?!

Oh and a recent guilty pleasure: Parenthood, if you haven't seen it try it out you won"t be disappointed.

Weekend Recap

This weekend has been one of many emotions. Tim got home very late Friday from an out of town trip so that messed up our Friday plans. I woke up Saturday to horrible news of a very dear friends stepbrother had died in a car wreck. I know this brother of hers and he was a fun, out going,  spirited guy. My thoughts and prayers are definitely with her and the family. *** This was Ashley and I with Kyle several years ago at a Tech game***

Tim and I have been talking about a new car for a while and yeah it finally happened!! We knew we probably couldn't do brand new off the lot but I was willing to do new-used. I have a 2014 Ford Explorer, oh it is fun with all its gadgets and as Tim calls them "bells and whistles". Let the baby planning begin!

Saturday evening we went to the Casting Crowns concert, they were amazing! We did leave a little early to go visit with some out-of-town family.

Sunday was a normal Sunday, church-lunch-family- and our usual Whataburger for dinner (some families do roast or cookouts for Sunday dinner, not us).

I am ready for this week to get under way and get back to baby shower planning! (for my sis)
